Roanoke River Partners seeks highly
motivated individual to serve as Chief Executive Officer for
regional non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable
community-based economic development and eco-tourism by showcasing
the preservation of natural, cultural and historic resources in the
five-counties (Halifax, Northampton, Bertie, Martin and Washington)
comprising the lower Roanoke River Basin. Applicants must be willing
to live in the area.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a field related to the
organization’s purpose and at least three years experience in
directing a business or non-profit organization involving
fundraising, marketing, grant-writing, membership development and
working with community-based and grassroots efforts in rural areas.
Other combinations of education, experience and expertise will be
considered. Salary is commensurate with experience and opportunities
for merit-based pay increases will be based on performance
evaluations.
