Join paddlers from near and far for a trip downriver from Jamesville to Plymouth. (Approx. 12 miles total.) Participants will be shuttled back to Jamesville.

More experienced paddlers can choose an alternate route option that takes them through Broad Creek (about half way to Plymouth), on to Cow Creek and then through the mysterious Cut Cypress, a shortcut back to the Roanoke about five miles upriver from Jamesville. (Approx. 16 miles total)

Cut Cypress option paddlers will take out at their launching point. Plymouth trip paddlers will take out at the WRC ramp next to the Roanoke River Lighthouse replica.

Of course, Paddle Days participants can enhance the experience by reserving nearby platforms on the night before or after the paddle.

Those who would like to have a guide with them on an overnight trip can take advantage of services from Frog Hollow including use of canoe or kayak,
most meals & camping equipment, and a guide. Visit Frog Hollow's  Web site or contact Banks Dixon at 919/949-4315 for guided trip information.

A Weekend Package option includes a Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn stay on April 19th along with a Pig Pickin' Dinner, a Contra Dance at Fort Branch Civil War site with acoustic band and a tour of historic and other sites around Hamilton, NC.
