Join paddlers from near and far for a trip downriver from Jamesville
to Plymouth. (Approx. 12 miles total.) Participants will be shuttled
back to Jamesville.
More experienced paddlers can choose an
alternate route option that takes them through Broad Creek (about half way
to Plymouth), on to Cow Creek and then through the mysterious Cut Cypress, a
shortcut back to the Roanoke about five miles upriver from Jamesville.
(Approx. 16 miles total)
Cut Cypress option paddlers will take out at
their launching point. Plymouth trip paddlers will take out at the WRC ramp
next to the Roanoke River Lighthouse replica.
Of course, Paddle Days participants can
enhance the experience by reserving nearby platforms on the night before
or after the paddle.
